Class 9 were all very sad to see student teacher Miss Helen Harvey leave. They all wished her a very fond farewell and hope she'll come back to visit soon.
We had a very successful visit to Llantrisant Church and the mock christening was enjoyed by all who attended.
The children had lots of fun picking the name for the baby and 'Ava Ruby' was finally decided upon as the baby's name.
We were also lucky enough to attend the Indian dancing session in the hall and everyone took part with lots of enthusiasm.
For the rest of the term, we will be continuing to look at the weather aswell as our mini topic - India.
If possible, could the children bring in any toys they have which are featured in our story - Arthur and the Meanies. The Indian animals featured in the story are - elephants, cheetahs, tigers, monkeys, frogs, ducks and peacocks.
A reminder also to all that P.E. is still on Thursday and children will be taking part in Tennis sessions with Miss Bridie Lynch for the rest of the term.
Thankyou

Indian Restaurant
Hello everyone. This week we will be changing our role play area into an Indian Restaurant and we would love the children to help choose a name for the restaurant. They will bring a slip home so they can think of suggestions to be pulled out of a hat.
Also, lots more activities planned around the weather for this week, so I would be grateful if wellies could be brought in to stay if possible.
Thankyou

Sut Mae Tywdd
Hi everyone,
This term our topic is all about the weather- 'Sut Mae Tywydd'. We have been out and about recording the weather and making wind chimes. We have a lovely display describing what you need to wear in different weathers. We have also been in touch with Derek Brockway and are hoping to role play doing the weather forecast just like him!
We are beginning to set up an Indian restuarant in our class. You need to think of a name for it! If you have any Indian items such as clothes, artefacts, books that we could borrow that would be great! We will be testing lots of Indian food in the next couple of weeks too!
We are really lucky to have Miss Harvey helping us this term and the children have been doing lots of interesting things with her. The children have been learning about polar bears and the Artic. We had our very own igloo in class!
Thanks for all your support,
Regards

Christmas Activities
Hello to all
Just a reminder to children not to bring in P.E. kits for the next few weeks as our hall times will be designated to practising for the concert.
Well done to everyone on learning their lines for the concert. As the children are still only in Year 1, they have done really well to learn all the lines.
